Jingxian Zhang

About Jingxian

Jingxian is an engineer who is passionate about data. She loves solving problems with her data visualization, HCI, and data science skills.

Jingxian received a master's degree from the MIT Media Lab on Media Arts and Sciences. There, she worked with Cesar A. Hidalgo at the Collective Learning Group, focusing on tools for visualizing organizational networks based on email datasets. After that, she joined the Scalable Cooperation Group shortly for her PhD study, then joined a startup company in Beijing. Now she is working with her friends to bring the concept of fresh pet food to China, aiming to make high-quality and nutritionally balanced fresh pet food available to most pet owners in China. Prior to the Media Lab, Jingxian has received a master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, working with Karrie Karahalios in Social Spaces Group. Jingxian got her B.S. degree at the University of Science and Technology of China, advised by Dong Liu.
